1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Qirrus’s websites, applications, restaurant technology services, guest-facing experiences, and communications that link to this policy. “Qirrus,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of these services.
Restaurants may use Qirrus to collect and process information about their guests, employees, and operations. In those situations, the restaurant may also be responsible for deciding how information is used. Questions about a restaurant’s own practices should be directed to that restaurant.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the services, we may collect:
- Contact and account information, such as name, email address, mobile phone number, account identifiers, organization, and sign-in information.
- Restaurant and guest-service information, such as reservation details, party size, seating preferences, waitlist activity, orders, loyalty participation, gift cards, feedback, and service requests.
- Transaction information, such as purchase amount, payment status, refunds, and limited payment-card details supplied by payment processors. We do not store full card numbers when they are handled by a payment processor.
- Communications and preferences, including messages with us or a restaurant, SMS and email preferences, consent records, and opt-out requests.
- Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, timestamps, referring pages, and diagnostic or security events.
- Location information, such as an address you provide or approximate location inferred from your IP address. Precise device location is collected only when disclosed and permitted.
We collect information directly from you, from restaurants and organizations that useQirrus, automatically when you use the services, and from service providers that help complete your requests.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide reservations, orders, payments, receipts, accounts, and related services;
- send requested transactional, service, security, and support communications;
- honor communication preferences and maintain consent and opt-out records;
- operate, personalize, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve the services;
- protect users, restaurants, and Qirrus from fraud, abuse, and security threats;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable agreements; and
- send marketing communications where permitted by law and only in accordance with your choices.
4. Mobile information and SMS privacy
Mobile information is not shared for marketing
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all other data-sharing provisions in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that facilitate delivery of the messaging program and are contractually limited to using the information for that purpose.
If you opt in to text messages, message frequency varies based on your interactions and preferences. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. See our SMS Program Terms for additional information.
We use mobile information to provide the communications you requested, operate the messaging program, document consent, process opt-outs, prevent fraud, and comply with law. Choosing not to receive marketing texts will not prevent you from completing a purchase.
7. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, complete transactions, maintain business and consent records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and security obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the reason it was collected.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
You may:
- update certain account and profile information through the services;
- use unsubscribe links in marketing emails;
- reply STOP to opt out of text messages;
- adjust browser or device controls for cookies and permissions; and
- request access, correction, deletion, or another privacy right available under applicable law by contacting us.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where permitted or required by law. If information is controlled by a participating restaurant, we may direct your request to that restaurant.
9. Children’s privacy
The services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us inappropriately, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent.
